The New Zealand chapter of The Health Roundtable is holding a meeting about improving patient safety for patients admitted at night and on the weekend.
Who should attend?
Each organisation can send a delegation of up to five people, who should include the senior executive, senior safety and quality staff, and clinicians who are at the forefront of patient safety in your organisation.
On Wednesday afternoon there will be a master class on using Health Roundtable data, and on Thursday there will be a one-day workshop called 'Improving patient safety at night and on the weekend'.
For an agenda, details about how to register, pre-meeting survey data on mortality for patients admitted on the weekend contact email@example.com.
Share your innovative practices
Each participating organisation is encouraged to prepare a short PowerPoint poster presentation that outlines a specific initiative implemented at their health service in the last two years, relating to improving patient safety at night and on the weekend. A template has been provided to assist you. Please note that all presentations will be shared with attendees in poster form for discussion at the meeting.
Please print out a copy (A4 size and in colour) and bring it with you to display at the meeting. Please send a copy of your PowerPoint poster to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 24 November 2014.
Questions and comments can be sent to Bernie Mullin (email@example.com).
