  • Event start: 24 Apr 2012 12:00am
  • Event end: 2 May 2012 12:00am
  • Location: Dunedin, Auckland and Wellington

The Ministry of Health is holding three one day seminars to launch the 'Improving Patient Flow Toolkit'.  The toolkit consists of ten evidence based service improvement topics with case studies illustrating successful implementation, links to useful websites, reports, articles and tools. The Toolkit will support District Health Boards (DHBs) to reduce waiting times and improve access to and quality of Electives care. An electronic version of the toolkit will be available on the Health Improvement and Innovation Resource Centre (HIIRC) Website from April 23rd.

The intended audience for the seminars are clinicians, clinical champions, service managers, General Practitioner Liaisons (GPL) and  others whose work impacts on Electives planning and delivery. Each seminar will consist of six presentations by dynamic and committed DHB staff who have been successful in adopting improvements and are keen to share their learning.  Interactive Workshops will be held where participants will be able to learn from their colleagues who have made the changes and have valuable lessons and experiences to share.  Participants will  take away useful knowledge and skills to help them transform Elective services in their DHB. Most DHB staff will attend seminars in their region, however if the date doesn't suit or its more convenient to attend a seminar in another region,  the dates for these are below.
