The Health Quality & Safety Commission congratulates Dame Alison Paterson on her induction to the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame.
The Business Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who have made a significant contribution to the economic and social development of New Zealand. Eight individuals were admitted to the Hall on Wednesday 29 July 2015 by the Governor-General, at a black-tie gala dinner.
"Alison was appointed to the Commission in June 2013 and has bought a wealth of experience to the board," says Prof Alan Merry, board chair.
"She has sat on a number of boards for private and public organisations and has made a strong contribution to the work of the Commission. We congratulate her on this well-deserved honour."
Dame Paterson is independent director of Vector Ltd, director of Intueri Ltd, chair of Gareth Morgan Investments and is chair of BPAC New Zealand Limited, Farm iQ Limited, Stevenson Agriculture Limited, Forestry Industry Safety Council, and the Governing Board of the Centre of Research Excellence for Growth and Development (University of Auckland).
Alison was appointed dame companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business, in the 2014 New Year Honours List.
