The Health Quality & Safety Commission is excited to announce the next event in the Open Forum: International Speaker Series.

A day-long forum for the health sector will be held featuring Henry Marsh, one of Britain’s top neurosurgeons. His surgical interests centre on brain tumour surgery and he was one of the pioneers of the use of awake craniotomy for intrinsic brain tumours.

The forum has an emphasis on clinical leadership in health quality and safety. You will also hear from an impressive line-up of senior New Zealand health professionals who will share their insights and practical experiences, and draw on what clinical leadership means for them in practice.

Topics include:

  • role modelling
  • openness and learning from mistakes
  • communication with colleagues and patients
  • team work
  • growing clinical leadership locally and nationally.

Join us for this unique opportunity to hear the specialist points of views and expertise that will lead to some thought provoking and interesting discussions.
