Patient experiences are routinely surveyed in hospitals. Feedback about the care received is a valuable indicator of how well health services are working for patients and their whānau.

The adult outpatient experience survey is for those who attended a hospital-based outpatient clinic appointment recently. The survey asks about access to care, communication, partnership, coordination and how well health needs were met.

Patient experience surveys are voluntary and anonymous. The survey responses are used to improve services locally, regionally and nationally.

For all questions about the survey, please email: survey@hqsc.govt.nz.
