Workshops on quality improvement in aged residential care

  • Event start: 4 May 2018 1:00pm
  • Event end: 11 Jun 2018 5:00pm
  • Location: Dunedin, Auckland, Palmerston North, Hamilton

Interested in improving the quality of aged residential care services? Then come to the Health Quality & Safety Commission’s upcoming free regional workshops to learn and share about quality improvement of those services.

At these free half-day workshops, participants can have input into quality improvement in aged residential care and inform how the Health Quality & Safety Commission adds value in this area. Dr Michal Boyd will lead a best practice sharing session on care planning and the use of interRAI. Michal will also share the latest clinical research on assessing frailty and the high-risk indicators and talk about her work in the development of an advanced frailty care guide.

The workshops are best suited to people working with older people in aged residential care. This includes registered nurses, health care assistants and facility managers. We also invite health of older people clinical teams, planning and funding, quality and risk (patient safety), needs assessment and service coordination (NASC) services, primary care, community pharmacy and others with an interest.
