The New Zealand Hospitals Pharmacists’ Association conference was recently held in Auckland, from Friday 31 August to Sunday 2 September. The NZPHA supports innovation in the practice of pharmacy and promoting effective medicines management.
The Commission sponsored two prizes at the conference; the recipients and their abstracts are outlined below.
The best oral presentation in medication safety and/or innovation was Angela Lambie from Waitemata District Health Board. The topic of Angela’s presentation was culturally appropriate patient information. See Angela’s abstract here.
The best poster presentation in medication safety and/or innovation was Di Vicary from Hawke’s Bay District Health Board. The topic was diabetes care for aged residential care facilities in the Hawke’s Bay. See Di’s abstract here.
