  • Event start: 12 Jun 2017 5:30am
  • Event end: 12 Jun 2017 7:00am
  • Location: National Library, Wellington

An advance care planning event for the public is taking place at the National Library in Wellington on Monday 12 June from 5.30 to 7pm.

This free event is an ideal opportunity for your consumers or patients to learn more about the benefits of doing an advance care plan.

An advance care plan allows you to record:

  • what’s important to you
  • who you want involved in decisions about your treatment and care
  • how much treatment you’d want and when you’d want it to stop
  • where you’d like to be cared for.

Arthur Te Anini Sep 2016Guest speaker is Arthur Te Anini, who will talk about his advance care plan. Arthur has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and found it a huge relief to have talked to his whanau and doctors about advance care planning. “It means I am now free to enjoy my life.”

To attend, email Helen.Rigby@sidu.org.nz.

The event is at the National Library – located on the ground floor via the Molesworth St entrance.
