Waitemata District Health Board (DHB) is hosting a health literacy symposium on 24 May 2018. The focus is to create a greater awareness of health literacy with an emphasis on what we can do as a community to create better patient experiences.
The symposium is aimed at all health professionals and community representatives working in the Waitemata district. It will be held at Whenua Pupuke, Waitemata DHB’s new clinical skills centre, at North Shore Hospital and via video-link at the Waitakere Hospital conference centre.
This event will consist of a series of short presentations by subject specialists with opportunity for discussion and questions.
