The Commission's Partners in Care programme has been in contact with Australian organisation Ask, Share, Know (ASK) on areas of mutual interest, including health literacy and shared decision making.
The programme, being run and evaluated from the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, has been testing the questions and feasibility of teaching consumers to ask questions about their health care.
The findings of the study will be published soon on the ASK website. If you would like to find out more about this study in the meantime, visit the website of the international shared decision making conference in Peru, June 2013, where the findings were presented.
Visit the ASK website to download and use their resources, or provide feedback to the programme team: http://www.askshareknow.com.au/.
