As part of a rolling review of PHARMAC's operational policies and procedures (OPP), feedback is sought on the criteria it uses to make decisions.
Following the first round of consultation, PHARMAC has developed a proposal for change to the current decision criteria. The consultation document, including full details of the proposal, is now available.
While the decision criteria consultation is underway, PHARMAC will begin planning for the next stage of the OPP review. It will focus on the next phase of consultation for managing PHARMAC's role into hospital medical devices and a review of the Named Patient Pharmaceutical Assessment (NPPA) policy. The review will seek feedback on how well the objectives of the NPPA policy have been achieved.
