Waitemata District Health Board (DHB) has announced their eCALD™ cultural competency courses will be available free to all DHB staff from 28 August 2015.
Staff from all 20 New Zealand DHBs will be eligible to access the CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) cultural competency online and Auckland-based face-to-face courses free of charge.
eCALD™ provides a range of online and face-to-face training courses for the New Zealand health workforce to develop CALD cultural competencies. The courses and resources are developed and managed by Waitemata DHB and funded by the Ministry of Health via the Northern Regional Alliance Ltd.

CALD refers to culturally and linguistically diverse groups who are migrants and refugees from Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and African (MELAA) backgrounds.
