Vicki’s fellowship allowed her to travel meet with baby loss support organisations in the UK and USA and learn about how they train professionals and volunteers.

She met with staff from USA organisations First Candle and Share, national organisations providing education and support. She also met with individuals working in baby loss support and information. In the UK, Vicki met with staff from Child Bereavement UK, the Miscarriage Association, Sands UK, Cruse Bereavement Care, Towards Tomorrow, Lullaby Trust and Antenatal Results and Choices.

Vicki is writing a report of her trip as part of the fellowship, and will provide a report to Sands New Zealand focusing on the training of volunteers.
