Do you want to use your own health experience to work with the Health Quality & Safety Commission? Owing to vacancies in the Commission’s consumer network we are seeking expressions of interest to fill five consumer positions.
The consumer network has up to 13 members and provides advice and direction to the Commission on its programmes and work.
The Partners in Care programme at the Commission supports consumers to be engaged and involved as partners in their care at all levels of the health and disability sector. These levels include service delivery, design, planning, policy development and governance.
To support the work of Partners in Care, a consumer network was established in 2012 so that consumers have a strong voice at the Commission and are involved in the delivery of the Partners in Care Framework. To maintain this strong voice, consumer network members must have well developed networks and be able to work in close collaboration with consumer groups, public and non-government agency health providers. You can find the consumer network’s terms of reference here: Consumer network terms of reference – May 2018.
