Applications sought for Auckland DHB patient- and whānau-centred care board

Auckland District Health Board (DHB) is currently seeking applications from health care consumers and members of the community to join Auckland DHB patient- and whānau-centred care board.

The board helps to understand the issues that matter most to Auckland DHB patients and whānau, addresses situations that impact on patient and whānau experience and health outcomes.

Applications are sought from people who have had recent experience of care or treatment at Auckland DHB, demonstrate an interest and understanding of health care, patient choice and participation and be able to contribute to and attend six committee meetings a year. Previous governance experience is desirable but not essential.

Inclusion is part of the board and applicants are welcomed from diverse backgrounds who are current or recent patients and whānau.
