One of the successful applications for the HQSC Quality and Safety Challenge 2012 comes from the Bay of Plenty District Health Board. Their topic is ‘Excellence through Patient and Family Centred Care’. This project aims to identify best practices and bring about system changes that enable the Bay of Plenty Health Board (BOPDHB) and other organisations to become and remain patient and family centred by bringing the perspectives of patients and families directly into the planning, delivery and evaluation of health care.
The full project report for all of the successful applicants will be uploaded onto our website after July 2012, but in the meantime we thought we would share this practical literature review.
