Partners In Care: Consumers and clinicians co-designing services

Partners in Care is a six- to eight-month programme brought to you by the Health Quality & Safety Commission with a focus on consumer engagement, using the National Health Service Institute’s Experience-Based Design programme.

The Commission is bringing Lynne Maher, Director for Innovation and Design, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, to New Zealand to share her extensive experience in improving consumer participation in health. Lynne will present workshops in Auckland and Wellington on 16th and 17th May followed by ten web-based sessions (a compulsory part of the programme).

The workshop/web-based sessions are available to teams of two people:

  • a patient, consumer or consumer representative
  • a clinician, health professional or health sector worker (with the support of their organisation).

Spaces are limited to 25 teams of two at each workshop.

The workshop is sponsored by the Health Quality & Safety Commission, and there is no registration fee. Participants will need to fund their own travel and accommodation. Applications are now open.
