  • Event start: 5 Nov 2017 12:00am
  • Event end: 11 Nov 2017 12:00am
  • Location: New Zealand

Patient Safety Week is a commitment to consumers and patients that our health services strive to provide the best and safest care possible, every time.

The theme for this year’s Patient Safety Week is medication safety and we will focus on encouraging patients to ask questions like:

  • What is my medicine called?
  • What is it for?
  • When and how should I take it?

District health boards (DHBs) and other providers will mark Patient Safety Week in a number of ways, including the display of posters and patient information in hospitals, media promotions, adverts in community newspapers emphasising DHBs’ commitment to providing the best and safest care, quality and safety focused grand rounds, booths and competitions.
