CLINICAL LEAD - NATIONAL FALLS PROGRAMME

Expressions of interest are invited for the position of Clinical Lead - National Falls Programme being led by the Health Quality & Safety Commission.

Harm from falls has been identified as a major cause of injury to patients in hospital.  In the 2010/11 Serious and Sentinel Events report, falls accounted for 52 percent of incidents (195 events in total).

The Commission has agreed to lead the national approach on falls injury prevention, and is seeking a clinical lead to guide this work.

Please see here for further information or contact Senior Portfolio Manager Carmela Petagna on 04 901 6054 or at carmela.petagna@hqsc.govt.nz.

All expressions of interest should be made to the Commission by Monday 30 April 2012, and should be emailed to natalie.cook@hqsc.govt.nz.
