Clinical care standard for hip fracture care

13 Sep 2016 | Reducing Harm from Falls

The clinical care standard for hip fracture care provide evidence-based guidance for clinicians, service providers and consumers on the quality of service for hip fracture care.

It complements the recently released Australian and New Zealand Guideline for Hip Fracture Care and the development of the New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry. The clinical care standard may also help reduce variation in care, including some of the variation identified through the Commission’s Atlas of Healthcare Variation falls domain.

Visit the clinical care standard webpage for further information or read the Commission's media release.
