The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way health care in New Zealand has been delivered. The COVID-19 patient experience survey was a one-off survey to understand patients’ experience of accessing health care during all levels of the alert system, with a focus on care during level 3.

In this survey we spoke to patients who had accessed primary care during level 3, as well as a community sample of people who had not accessed primary health care during this period.
