Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a People and Culture Coordinator to come and join our People, Culture and Capability team at Te Tāhū Hauora.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate that you have:
- sound judgement, discretion, and a proven ability to work under pressure
- excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language
- advanced skills with Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint
- ability to manage competing priorities, flexibility and to adjust as priorities change
- well-developed personal organisational skills
- an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to equity in the health and disability sector.
About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide general human resources related administrative support on a day-to-day basis, contributing to the efficient and effective provision of People and Culture operational and strategic activities across the organisation. This position also provides facilities and office management support to contribute to a positive employee experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruitment: providing end to end recruitment administration including advertising vacancies, processing applications, coordinating shortlisting and completing employment agreements or variations of employment
- Induction and onboarding: welcoming new employees to Te Tāhū Hauora by taking a leading role in providing them with relevant information and documentation
- Payroll: supporting the fortnightly pay run by entering new starters into the payroll system and making any relevant documented changes
- HR support: assisting the HR Lead with specific activities such as the employee engagement survey, remuneration review, workshop and focus groups
- Cultural safety: acknowledging cultural differences by respecting spiritual beliefs, cultural practices and lifestyle choices
