In August 2015 the Health Quality & Safety Commission undertook a performance improvement framework self-review – a process developed by the State Services Commission (SSC).
The purpose of the review was to highlight ways we can improve the way we do our business and deliver value for taxpayers’ investment. The SSC is clear that this should not be seen as an audit, scientific evaluation, investigation of compliance or an accreditation process. Instead it is designed to form an integral part of an organisational continuous improvement programme.
The Commission's review was undertaken by a team of internal reviewers and was then reviewed by two external advisors, who gave advice on the direction of the self-review and an independent perspective on the interim findings and final report.
