Video: Implementing briefing and debriefing sessions at Hutt Valley DHB

Lis Browne (Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager) talks about the implementation of briefing and debriefing sessions at Hutt Valley District Health Board (DHB).

The DHB implemented briefings and debriefings, alongside the World Health Organization's surgical safety checklist, three years ago. Lis says that, although they faced some challenges during implementation, there have been huge improvements in teamwork, communication and patient safety.
