Tweet chat with bias expert Anton Blank

The Health Quality & Safety Commission is hosting a tweet chat during Wiki Haumaru Tūroro | Patient Safety Week 2019. Bias expert Anton Blank will be on hand to answer your burning questions about bias in health care.

The chat will last one hour. Anton will be on hand to reply to you and answer any questions you have (or, as many as we can!).

What is a tweet chat?

A tweet chat is a virtual meeting or gathering on Twitter to discuss a common topic. The chat will last one hour and will include some pre-prepared questions to stimulate discussion; they'll be preceded with Q1, Q2, Q3, etc.

For example: Q1: What do you plan to do this Patient Safety Week to examine your own biases? #PSWchat

Where will I find the tweet chat?

Create or log into your account on Twitter and then use the search facility to find #PSWchat (depending on your Twitter tool you may be able to save this) or follow this link twitter.com/search?q=%23PSWchat&src=typed_query.

How do I take part?

Ask us a question! The more questions we are asked, the more successful the chat will be. Post a question as a tweet and use the hashtag #PSWchat.

If you wish to respond to a question we've posted, include the hashtag #PSWchat within your tweet and precede your tweet with A1, A2, A3, etc.

For example: A1: I plan to watch the video modules and self-audit my patients #PSWchat.

Or reply directly to our tweet, also using the hashtag.

Do I have to tweet to take part?

No, you don’t, although your contributions will be valued! By following the hashtag #PSWchat you can simply read the questions raised and answers from those who respond.

If I can’t make the time slot can I follow the tweet chat later?

Yes, you can view the discussion by searching for #PSWchat.

Will there be a summary of the session made available afterwards?

Yes – we will summarise the conversations generated by each question and post the results back to #PSWchat.
