Celebrating the 'Open for better care' campaign

Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality & Safety Commission
28 July 2016

Kia ora,

After three years, the Open for better care campaign has drawn to a close. With superb support from the sector, the campaign has sought to put in place simple, proven interventions that make a difference in the areas of falls, surgical site infections, surgical harm and medication safety. The final focus of the campaign was supporting and encouraging emerging clinical leaders.

We are very pleased with what has been achieved through the Open campaign, much of which is down to your fantastic participation and support. A campaign evaluation is currently underway and will be available later in the year. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this light-hearted – but very heart-felt – thank you from the staff at the Health Quality & Safety Commission.

Prof Alan Merry
Chair, Health Quality & Safety Commission
