National sepsis stocktake

Infection prevention and control
09 March 2022

A stocktake of the current management of sepsis in Aotearoa with Synergia is exploring the current clinical practices, guidance and protocols that are in use at DHBs, private surgical hospitals, ambulance services and a selection of emergency care clinics. Organisations will be invited to participate via an online survey and/or interview from 11 April.

Findings of the stocktake will help inform future quality improvement initiatives in the management of sepsis at a local and national level, and progression of the National Sepsis Action plan.

If you're interested in knowing more about the project, please email Jeanette Bell in the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team at IPC@hqsc.govt.nz
