During 2022, Te Tāhū Hauora conducted a national survey: Ngā Poutama Oranga Hinengaro: Quality in Context in mental health and addiction services.

Following a previous survey held in 2018, the survey aims to inform the future direction of MHA quality improvement initiatives.

This survey was undertaken, and the reports written, before the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures Act) 2022 came into force. As such, we refer to DHBs throughout for consistency of reporting.

The survey’s national and technical reports are available here. The survey's health district reports, and regional non-governmental organisation responses are available here.
