About the registry
The Australia and New Zealand hip fracture registry provides a database and system for the collection and reporting of data aligned with the clinical care standard for hip fracture care. It supports learning to help provide the best care for people with hip fracture.

A New Zealand Implementation & Management Committee (NZIMC) provides oversight of the hip fracture registry in New Zealand. The NZIMC comprises representatives from the Commission, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine, the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association, the Ministry of Health – Manatū Hauora, the Accident Compensation Corporation and Osteoporosis New Zealand. Other stakeholders are involved as necessary.
Hip fracture recovery booklet
The Commission helped develop 'Recovering from a hip fracture: Pikinga ora i tētahi whatinga hope' to meet the needs of people in New Zealand. The booklet supports implementation of standard 7: transition from hospital care, within the clinical care standard for hip fracture care.
The booklet is available to view or download in A4 and A5 formats.
