Co-designing a patient, family and whānau escalation of care process factsheet for patients, family and whānau...

22nd November, 2021

The Commission has developed a new co-design resource: a factsheet for hospitals to give to consumers who are considering joining the Kōrero mai/Talk to me co-design team. This was originally published in June 2017 and was updated in October 2020.

Feedback from health staff and patients is that consumers are not always sure what joining a co-design team involves.

This could mean that consumers are hesitant to become involved, or have to leave the group as they find they can’t meet the commitment needed.

The aim of the factsheet is to help with the recruitment process and reduce consumer dropout rates from the co-design team.
