This article describes describe risk factors for surgical site infection (SSI) caused by aerobic Gram-negative organisms after hip and knee arthroplasty in Aotearoa New Zealand. It examines data collected by the Health Quality & Safety Commission between 2013 and 2017 as part of the national SSI improvement programme.
