Lockdown and physical distancing can mean that we can’t deliver classroom-based Serious Illness Conversation Guide (SICG) workshops.

If we are able to hold face-to-face workshops or if you are unable to attend a face-to-face workshop, we have created a video to support you to feel more prepared when talking to patients/residents and whānau about their prognosis, their priorities, concerns and goals of care.

The training video will help clinicians in all health settings. It includes information about the guide, the adaptation of the guide to support conversations about COVID-19 prognosis and goals of care.

The focus of the 9 April webinar was the COVID Serious Illness Conversation Guide and how it differs from the Aotearoa guide. The focus of the 16 April webinar was the Aotearoa Serious Illness Conversation Guide, which has much wider application. Recordings of the webinars are available below.
