Position paper: Responding to adults at risk who need care and support and who are experiencing family violence

This position paper provides an overview of the issues associated with (mis)identifying adults at risk who need care and support and who are experiencing family violence. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to the need to look carefully at situations where the capacity, capability and wellbeing of both the carer and the adult at risk are in question.
The paper also highlights the limitations of current approaches when responding to people who need care and support and who are experiencing family violence.
