The aged residential care programme is profiling some of the great work done in the sector. This video from Oceania Healthcare shows how virtual reality (VR) technology is making a real difference to residents' lives.

Loss of independence and lack of mobility can quickly lead to boredom and even depression among our older people. But thanks to VR technology, Oceania Healthcare  is bringing the world into its rest homes. Residents can travel to new places, revisit favourite ones, and catch up with family who don’t live nearby. Oceania Healthcare won the innovative delivery award at the 2018 New Zealand Aged Care Association Awards for its innovative use of VR technology to improve quality of life for people living in aged care homes.
