Implementing the package
We strongly recommend you implement the full sepsis package as a matter of best practice. Clinical pathways are most effective when supported by implementation, education, governance and measurement activities. This includes:
- establishing clinical and governance leadership
- preparing team through education and training
- supporting teams with ongoing coaching and mentoring in the form of clinical champions
- adapting the resources to suit your local context
- conducting ongoing measurement, audits and review to monitor uptake and sustain improvements.
