Te Pū rauemi KOWHEORI-19 COVID-19 resource hub

Support for people working in health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Find information about how you can support yourselves and others, including consumers, teams and colleagues which complements and aligns with Ministry of Health resources.

Kia āta kōwhiri Choosing Wisely

The Choosing Wisely campaign seeks to reduce harm from unnecessary and low-value tests and treatment.

Ma tini ma mano ka rapa te whai.

By many, by thousands, the work will be accomplished. Unity is strength.

This section is no longer being updated. For more details, please see below.

The Health Quality & Safety Commission’s COVID-19 resource hub was established in early 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the aim of helping you respond by providing information on:

  • topics we heard were important to you
  • ways you could support yourselves and others, including consumers, teams and colleagues, to complement and align with Ministry of Health resources.

A group of clinicians formed the governance group that reviewed all documents and links in this section prior to upload. We acknowledge the many people who sent information to be considered for inclusion.

In August 2022 we reviewed the need for the resource hub and decided that, in light of other COVID-19 information available and the number of ‘hits’ to these pages, we would leave the information available but not update the content actively.

We will review the resource hub content again by early 2023.
